Continuing Education & Professional Development

Continuing education is an essential component of professional nursing practice. I am committed to lifelong learning and regularly participate in educational activities that enhance my knowledge of patient safety, quality improvement, teamwork, leadership, and evidence-based practice. The certificates below represent selected continuing education activities completed to support my professional growth.

My experience as a Registered Nurse on the telemetry unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has been a journey of continuous professional growth, clinical development, and personal reflection. Caring for patients with complex medical conditions in a fast-paced acute care environment has strengthened my critical thinking, communication skills, and ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.

Throughout my nursing career, I have participated in numerous high-acuity situations, including Rapid Response Team (RRT) activations, stroke alerts, and end-of-life care. These experiences reinforced the importance of remaining calm under pressure, communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary team, and advocating for patients and families during critical moments.

One of the most meaningful aspects of nursing has been supporting patients and families through difficult healthcare decisions. Whether assisting during a rapid clinical decline, providing education and support during a stroke alert, or helping families navigate end-of-life discussions, I learned that nursing extends far beyond clinical tasks. Patients and families often remember the compassion, presence, and support provided during their most vulnerable moments.

Working on a telemetry unit has strengthened my assessment skills and clinical judgment. I have learned to recognize subtle changes in patient condition, respond appropriately to emergencies, and collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective care. These experiences have increased my confidence and reinforced the importance of teamwork in achieving positive patient outcomes.

Receiving multiple Standing Ovation recognitions from patients and families has been especially meaningful. These acknowledgments reminded me that even small acts of kindness, empathy, and attentive care can have a lasting impact on those we serve. They continue to motivate me to provide the highest standard of patient-centered care.

As I continue my journey as a Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner student, I remain committed to lifelong learning, professional growth, and excellence in nursing practice. My experiences at Cedars-Sinai have strengthened my passion for healthcare and reinforced my dedication to serving patients with compassion, integrity, and respect.
